Mulholland

Designed by Cory Grosser for Bernhardt Design

I led product development for the Mulholland wood guest chair. My responsibilities included 3D parametric surface modeling (CREO), rendering design iterations (KeyShot), prototyping (physical samples), 2D manufacturing drawings (CREO), 3D + 2D tool ready engineering drawings (CREO), BIFMA testing trials, manufacturing hand-offs, and marketing drawings.

The Mulholland wood guest chair is constructed of a solid ash wood frame, a polypropylene injection molded plastic shell, and an upholstered seat cushion. I prepared the tooling drawings for the injection molded plastic shell and worked with an overseas vendor to communicate drawings and tooling revisions. The chair is available for purchase at Bernhardt Design. Cory Grosser won designer of the year after launching this product.
